Text to Speech - App Reviews

I get heaps of error messages telling me that the Text is to long. Shortening the text to just a few words helped - but what is the sence of letting a program read a short text? I am quicker reading it myself than setting up the program. Also with the short text the Program just closed itself. No Text was read out. Looks Like the Programm tries to upload the text to an online service. Would be nicer if it works just on the Phone without having to up and download anything. Please Fix it.

I dont know what the limit is, but I get the same message with every text: "too many words"...

Worked great for two days, now its not doing anything, I hit speak and nothing happens. Also, the limit on how many words processed is a bit of a pain, having to jump between apps to select smaller amounts of text can be frustrating. Huge potential if they can get the bugs out.

This app is very helpful for people who can not speak. I can speak, but there is a girl I know who cant talk or walk. She downloaded this app and now it is very easy for her. Do not listen to horselover22367. This app is great!!!!!

Bought the full version and the translation is not recognizable. My wife is French and cant understand even the simplest sentences. Speaks too fast. Please fix the app ! Or refund my money.

This app worked awesome. No crashing problems for me. The additional accents arent worth the 10 bucks though.

Out of all the apps that do text to speech this is the only one that worked properly. It allowed me to copy and paste as much text as the app would handle out of a Pdf so I could listen to them like an audio book.

The voice is one of the best. The ispeech app will only save and speak very small documents. Too limiting.

This app is more of a novelty then a translator. You type words or sentences and it will read back in English with an accent of the language you purchased. Refund!

This app is over all very fun. It does what is say it will do and the voice quality is very high and realistic depending on the accent you choose. Some of the accents need some work, but the american and british speech comes out very smooth. Some people might complain about the speech realism at first, however after playing with punctuation and the use of (!) () (,) and maybe an additional space once and awhile for longer pauses between words, i believe people will be very impressed with this ap. i would just recommend that you dont buy too many accents and than wish to unlock the rest at the complete unlock price. I bought about 4, but now wish to unlock all of them because it is so enjoyable. This will cost me the same as people who didnt unlock any to begin with. Partially my own fault, however a few more test accents as default would have been nice. Over all great SPEECH ap. Not a translator as some people have thought.

The app repeats anything you type. When you buy "voice" either male or female for a specific language it just repeats the word with an accent. So essentially, the app is making fun of what other people from other countries sound like speaking English. I just blew $2 bucks for nothing!!!!! Refund!!!

Good app for the purpose I wanted, just wish there was a volume adjuster

They made an update offer president bush/obamas voice which would be awesome but I click them and no purchase option.....nothing happens at all. Fix?

Just downloaded and tested this app. Like it but for a person with speech problems it needs something. Can you make it so the typed text can be deleted all at once not just letter by letter. Painful and slow to erase. If this would be possible it would be a lifesaver to a lot of people. This would be worth 5+

The speech flows quite well. Feels very natural overall. It would be a great improvement to be able to import more text.

I didnt buy any other language but just using the basic US English. Maybe my passage is not too long, I am happy with what I get, even the features are very limited, but the best thing is the save function.

Does exactly what it says on the tin - text to speech. The free default voices sound natural and have excellent inflexion when text is punctuated properly. If I was *ahem* too busy to safely read a long text message, I can copy n paste it in this app, and understand it no probs

Needs some work so it can send via email. It crashes when I export it to any of my media players.

I pasted document, and tried to save FAIL. It said too many words - not a crazy amount put in. I pressed the speak button, and it didnt read a loud. Just disappointed.
